Engineering a Better Pan…

This product has been specifically designed and tested to work as a self-sealing pan and cover set. The aluminum impurities were altered/added to stiffen the pan to resist bottom deformation sometimes seen when mechanically crimping high modulus of elasticity (low deformation) samples. This pan can be used with Thermal Support’s Flat (3116400.4) or Pan Style (5316500.2) Covers.

This pan has a wall thickness of 0.1 mm, yielding an ~33% lighter pan than comparable pans and standard pans. A thinner, lighter pan allows heat to flow into the sample more readily and evenly than normal pans.

Temperature Range: -170 to 600 oC
Volume Range: 0 – 95 mL
Max Recommended Volume*: 31.6 mL (1/3 of total)
Max-Plus Volume**: 47.5 mL
Max Pressure: 1 atm
Wall Thickness 0.1 mm (vs. 1.5 mm standard)

*Max Recommended Volume: Samples of this volume or less will generate the best data and are considered safe for system use.
**Max-Plus Volume: Samples with a volume greater than this are highly likely to cause the following errors or damage, each being dependent on the sample composition: pan deformation, inaccurate transition data, spillage/overflow, or cell damage.
