Differential Scanning Calorimetry is about 100 years old, and, as a testing method / process, barely changed. In time, individual components have improved to increase the accuracy of tests and reduce the size of the equipment, but the overall apparatus has not changed at all.

Information in some of the above videos may be different from other suggestions or recommendations found on our website. This is due to the varied natures and personalities of OEM equipment and the equipment itself. Just as the character Abby on NCIS gave a name to each of her units, thus implying a personality, thermal analysis equipment also has a personality. It takes using the equipment in many ways and circumstances to understand how your individual unit will respond, and thus to know if you got good data in your test.
