*NIST, National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA does not currently sell materials rated for thermal analysis.  NIST did sell them in the 1990s to early 2000s.  EA Labs’ materials were tested on equipment calibrated by NIST-backed CRMs which in turn were tested on equipment calibrated by NIST CRMs.  Therefore by the Law of Thermometry, or Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics, EA Labs’ CRMs are also calibrated to NIST thermal analysis standards.

*ICTAC, International Confederation of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, has approved 6 materials for TGA calibration.  EA Labs’ reference material may appear on this list.  EA Labs’ reference materials are tested on equipment calibrated to ICTAC standards.

Waters Corporation’s TA Instruments sells ISO 9001 certified materials, whereas EA Labs sells ISO 17034: 2016 Reference Material Producer qualified CRMs.  EA Labs’ CRMs are also cross-tested in multiple ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratories.  Therefore, EA Labs meets the ILAC G12 requirements of a Reference Material Producer while others do not.

PerkinElmer, Hitachi, Shimadzu, Mettler Toledo, and Instrument Specialists, Inc. do not claim to sell Certified Reference Materials, but do sell lower grade versions of the above Reference Materials.
